Quick Answer

Why is 95A TPU so flexible and durable?

TPU is a thermoplastic polyurethane; the 95A shore value means it is soft enough to flex yet tough enough to resist tearing. Its elastic memory lets it spring back after compression, which is why it excels in insoles, bumpers, gaskets and vibration-damping parts.

Is it right for my project?

Best for: For flexible, impact-absorbing parts - gaskets, phone cases, seals and vibration dampers - available in 9 colours; 1kg spools. Not ideal for: Not for rigid structural parts; use ABS, PETG or a CF grade for stiffness - available in 9 colours; 1kg spools.

Dull opaque rubber colors hide design details? This TPU comes in 8 transparent jewel shades

Yellow, Blue, Red, Green, Emerald, Orange, Gray and Teal — letting light pass through for vivid see-through parts.

Flexible filament tangles and snaps at the spool? Every roll is wound under controlled tension with a consistent 1.75mm round profile, so soft material feeds smoothly without knotting or kinking.

TPU is hard to print without experience? With a 220°C nozzle and slow, steady extrusion it prints cleanly on Bambu Lab, Creality and other direct-drive machines — ideal for custom insoles, gaskets and shock-absorbing parts.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why is 95A TPU so flexible and durable?
TPU is a thermoplastic polyurethane; the 95A shore value means it is soft enough to flex yet tough enough to resist tearing. Its elastic memory lets it spring back after compression, which is why it excels in insoles, bumpers, gaskets and vibration-damping parts.
Does this TPU work on my printer?
Yes — 1.75mm TPU feeds best on direct-drive extruders. It runs well on Bambu Lab, Creality, Prusa and other mainstream machines; if your printer uses a long Bowden tube, we recommend a slightly slower feed rate to avoid buckling.
What settings do I use to print TPU 95A?
Use a nozzle temperature of 220°C, a bed around 40-60°C (or none), and slow the print to 15-30 mm/s. Retraction should be low or disabled to prevent clogs. A clean, level build plate gives the best first layer.
How many insoles or parts can one roll print?
A 1KG roll of 95A TPU typically yields 5-8 pairs of adult insoles or dozens of gaskets and phone cases, depending on size and infill. Because TPU is dense, hollow settings extend how many parts you get per roll.
Are the transparent colors really see-through?
Yes — the 8 transparent colors (Yellow, Blue, Red, Green, Emerald, Orange, Gray, Teal) are semi-translucent, letting light pass through thin walls. For a glass-clear effect, print thin walls with high infill and higher temperatures.
What print speed is safe for flexible TPU?
Keep print speed between 15-30 mm/s for flexible TPU; 25 mm/s is a good starting point. Going faster risks under-extrusion and layer separation because the soft filament compresses in the feeder.
Is this TPU for prototypes or production parts?
Both. It is excellent for rapid prototyping of wearable designs, and durable enough for production parts like insoles, phone cases, straps and shock-absorbing components that see daily flexing.
How should I store flexible TPU filament?
Store TPU in a sealed bag with desiccant and keep it below 25°C away from sunlight. Although TPU is less moisture-sensitive than nylon, dry filament feeds more consistently and prints smoother.
