How does a semi-transparent glow grade behave differently from an opaque glow PLA?
The wall passes light. The blue body is light-transmitting, so a printed shade or panel diffuses the light behind it and looks lit from within, and the same piece is charged by light and then emits a soft glow in the dark. The colour and the luminous effect are both pigment effects of the PLA strand - nothing metallic is added - so the round profile and the print behaviour stay ordinary PLA. A thinner wall transmits more than a thick one, which is how the effect is tuned on a shade.
