What makes ABS different from PLA?
ABS is a styrenic engineering plastic: it absorbs impact instead of cracking, holds its shape at service temperatures well above what PLA tolerates, and can be sanded, drilled, glued and acetone-smoothed after printing. PLA prints more easily and holds finer detail. Choose ABS when the part has to survive handling, warmth and a drop; choose PLA when the priority is an easy, clean print.
