Yiqiu3D Silk PLA Filament 1.75mm 1kg Glossy Pearl Shine 8 Pastel Colors Neatly Wound

Brand: Yiqiu3D · Flat matte prints look like prototypes, and buyers judge prototypes by their surface. This silk PLA carries a deep pearl shine that catches light along curved walls and bevels, so plaques, trophies, lamp shades and display pieces read as finished product straight off the plate - no sanding, no priming, no clear coat. Nine luminous shades are stocked to match your brand palette.

Quick Answer

How does the pearl shine actually work?

The glossy look comes from the silk compound itself rather than a coating, so incoming light is reflected as a soft luminous sheen instead of a flat matte scatter. Because the effect sits in the strand and not on the surface, the sheen follows the print geometry and stays visible on curves, bevels and vertical walls rather than only on the top surface, and it does not rub off in handling or packing.

Is it right for my project?

Best for: Where surface finish sells the product: display models, awards and shop-window prototypes - available in 9 colours; 1kg spools; lead colour Silk Black. Not ideal for: Avoid outdoor or heat-exposed items - the sheen dulls; choose ASA for weather resistance - available in 9 colours; 1kg spools; lead colour Silk Black.

Product highlights

3 reasons

The shine is the point, not a side effect: the surface stays glossy across flat tops, sweeping curves and vertical walls, which is exactly where cheap silk filament turns patchy. Shades include Silk Bright Silver and Silk Bright Gold for premium looks and Silk Ice Pink, Silk Ice Blue and Silk Ice Cyan for soft pastel ranges.

High sheen is worthless if the print fails, so the diameter holds at 1.75mm on every spool and the winding stays even, keeping extrusion smooth on multi-hour display pieces. Net weight is 1 kg net filament per spool. Recommended printing temperature is 200-225 °C. RoHS documentation available upon request.

It prints on standard FDM machines - Bambu Lab and Creality style printers included - inside the 200-225 °C window, and because the gloss comes from the silk compound rather than a coating, the finish does not rub off when you handle, pack or clean the part. Large surface area parts are where it looks best.

Frequently Asked Questions

How does the pearl shine actually work?
The glossy look comes from the silk compound itself rather than a coating, so incoming light is reflected as a soft luminous sheen instead of a flat matte scatter. Because the effect sits in the strand and not on the surface, the sheen follows the print geometry and stays visible on curves, bevels and vertical walls rather than only on the top surface, and it does not rub off in handling or packing.
Which printers can run this filament?
It is a 1.75mm FDM filament on a standard round spool, so it runs on Bambu Lab, Creality, Prusa and other common 1.75mm printers without modification. Each spool is 1 kg net filament per spool, which fits standard holders and most dry boxes. A hardened nozzle is not required.
What nozzle temperature gives the best gloss?
Print at 200-225 °C; the gloss holds across the whole range, and the upper half usually gives slightly better layer fusion on display pieces. Heated bed settings are printer and surface specific, so use your own machine profile. Lower layer heights and normal part cooling bring out the sheen most clearly on curved walls.
How much do I get on a spool?
1 kg net filament per spool, roughly 335 metres of 1.75mm strand. Display pieces with large surface area use more material than small parts, so a typical 150 g trophy means about six to seven pieces per spool. Plan material use per finished item rather than per spool.
Which colours carry the pearl shine?
Nine shades: Silk Black, Silk White, Silk Ice Pink, Silk Ice Blue, Silk Ice Cyan, Silk Lavender Purple, Silk Apple Green, Silk Bright Silver and Silk Bright Gold. The bright and ice tones show the sheen most dramatically, while Silk Black and Silk White read as deep or luminous neutrals. Colourant is dosed in fixed batches within a production run, so reorders of the same colour stay consistent.
What should I print with it - and what should I avoid?
Suited to trophies, plaques, lamp shades, vases, figurines, cosmetic and gift packaging models and display or presentation prototypes. Avoid load-bearing or structural parts and anything exposed to sustained heat above roughly 60 °C, and note that the sheen dulls after long outdoor exposure, where ASA is the better choice.
How is the spool packed, and how should I store it?
Each spool is vacuum sealed with a desiccant pack and shipped on a round spool. Reseal opened spools or move them to a dry box with desiccant, and keep them out of direct sunlight. Moisture absorbed by PLA does not only cause stringing - it also dulls the surface you bought this filament for.
