Yiqiu3D Basic PLA Filament 1.75 mm 1 kg High-Speed Prototyping

Brand: Yiqiu3D · Print-fit failures waste a prototyping day. This Basic PLA holds a laser-controlled 1.75 mm diameter in a tight tolerance band with uniform roundness, so a 20-piece model set printed across several spools still assembles without sanding or reaming. Its low melt viscosity lets the nozzle run fast and still close clean top surfaces - the point of a prototype: fast answers on shape, fit and proportion before tooling is committed. Nozzle 190-220 °C. 1 kg net filament per spool, approx. 335 m.

Quick Answer

What is Basic PLA, and why does it suit prototyping better than a specialty filament?

Basic PLA is unmodified polylactic acid with a narrow molecular weight distribution and no fillers or impact modifiers. That gives predictable melt flow: the extruder pushes a steady bead, the part cools to a stiff, dimensionally accurate shape, and every print revision is comparable to the last. Fillers such as wood, marble or carbon additives change the flow and the surface, which adds variables to a fit check. For rapid prototyping the goal is repeatability and speed rather than toughness, so a consistent single-grade PLA is the right material. Nozzle temperature 190-220 °C.

Is it right for my project?

Best for: For quick visual mock-ups where print speed and surface quality beat mechanical strength - available in 9 colours; 1kg spools; lead colour PLA CG Black001. Not ideal for: Avoid for parts that will sit in a hot car or take repeated knocks; PETG or ABS suits better - available in 9 colours; 1kg spools; lead colour PLA CG Black001.

Product highlights

3 reasons

Black lead colour with a matte, low-gloss surface that hides layer lines in photographs and reads cleanly in engineering reviews. Eight further tones - white, red, blue, yellow, green, grey, orange and a transparent colour - let one grade cover a colour-coded prototype family or match a client brand colour for a presentation build. Available in 9 colours.

Diameter 1.75 mm, 1 kg net filament per spool, approx. 335 m on a round spool. Nozzle temperature 190-220 °C. Consistent roundness and a narrow diameter band keep extrusion width stable from spool to spool, so wall-thickness measurements taken on one revision still hold on the next.

No heated bed is required and a fresh spool needs no drying step. The spool ships vacuum sealed with a desiccant pack, so a first spool in a new printer loads and prints with no special handling. Close the bag between jobs and store the spool dry.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which 3D printers does this filament fit?
It is 1.75 mm filament on a standard 1 kg round spool, so it fits any FDM printer that accepts 1.75 mm material and a 1 kg spool: Bambu Lab X1 and P1 class, Creality Ender class, Prusa, Anycubic, Elegoo and similar open-frame machines. Diameter is a nominally specified 1.75 mm. No heated bed is required; where a printer has one, a low heated-bed setting is optional and only helps first-layer adhesion. Spool and hub dimensions can be confirmed against your machine on request.
What printing parameters do you recommend?
Nozzle temperature 190-220 °C, with the middle of that band a good starting point for a fast prototype and the upper end for a stronger bond at higher flow. Layer performance is best between about 0.12 mm and 0.28 mm. Because the material is stiff and shrinks little, moderate flow and standard retraction work well; raise cooling for overhangs and reduce it slightly for the top surface if it looks dull. No heated bed is required.
How long does one spool last?
Each spool holds 1 kg net filament per spool, which is approx. 335 m of 1.75 mm filament at a material density near 1.24 g/cm3. As an orientation figure for planning, that is roughly the equivalent of 90 to 110 typical small test prints, or a set of large prototype shells, depending on infill and wall count. Slicer estimates give the exact number; the figure to cost from is 1 kg net filament per spool.
Which colours are available, and can I order a mixed colour set?
Black is the lead colour. The full range is 9 colours: black, white, red, blue, yellow, green, grey, orange and a transparent colour. Mixed colour cartons with a per-colour ratio are normal for trial orders, and a colour-coded set is useful when each prototype revision carries its own colour. Colour names are shown in the swatch image; state the ratio you want and we will quote it.
What projects is this filament intended for?
Quick visual mock-ups, fit-and-proportion checks, jigs and fixtures on light duty, and short-run prototype batches where print speed and surface quality matter more than mechanical strength. It is the material for a design-review model that has to be in a client hands this week, not for parts that live in a hot car or take repeated knocks - PETG or ABS suits those better. Avoid prolonged outdoor exposure and sustained heat.
How should I store the spool, and how is it packed?
Every spool ships vacuum sealed in a foil bag with a desiccant pack inside a printed carton, so it arrives dry and ready to print. PLA absorbs atmospheric moisture slowly; once the bag is open, keep the spool in the resealable bag or a dry box between jobs. If a spool has been open in humid air for a long time, a few hours at 50-60 °C in a filament dryer restores printing behaviour. Store flat, out of direct sunlight and away from heat sources.
