Why add carbon fiber to ABS?
Short carbon fiber raises the stiffness of the ABS matrix and cuts the shrink that warps plain ABS on long, flat parts, so brackets, jigs and panels hold their dimensions better. The trade-off is impact: plain ABS absorbs a knock better than a fiber-filled grade, and the fiber abrades brass, so a wear-resistant nozzle is recommended. This grade is for stiffness and dimensional stability, not for parts that must flex.
