What does a high-speed PLA actually change in the print?
Speed changes how long the polymer spends in the melt zone. A grade tuned for fast flow melts and flows consistently through the hotend at higher volumetric rates, so extrusion stays even instead of leaving the thin walls and gaps that appear when the strand cannot keep up with the toolpath. The result is a print that looks the same at production speed as it does when you slow the machine down.
