OEM PLA+ Marble

Brand: Yiqiu3D · Plain single-colour prints look cheap on a shelf, and hand painting is slow and never repeatable. This PLA+ marble compound lays down a matte, veined surface straight off the plate, so a vase, planter or figurine leaves the printer looking like a finished decorative object. The PLA+ base bonds layers better than plain PLA, which matters on thin ornamental walls. The nozzle setting is confirmed per application, bed 35-60 °C. 1 kg net filament per spool, approx. 335 m.

Quick Answer

Is this real stone, and what is the material exactly?

It is a PLA+ filament compound: a polylactic acid base with colour pigmentation and a matte additive system that produces a veined, stone-like surface appearance. It is a plastic filament and contains no natural stone or mineral aggregate, and we do not describe it as a stone material. The practical benefits of the PLA+ base are better layer adhesion and slightly higher toughness than basic PLA, which suits thin ornamental walls. Nozzle temperature confirmed for your application, bed temperature 35-60 °C.

Is it right for my project?

Best for: For quick visual mock-ups where print speed and surface quality beat mechanical strength - available in 2 colours; 1kg spools; lead colour PLA Marble Black. Not ideal for: Avoid for parts that will sit in a hot car or take repeated knocks; PETG or ABS suits better - available in 2 colours; 1kg spools; lead colour PLA Marble Black.

Product highlights

4 reasons

Two marble tones: Marble Black and Marble Brown. Both give a low-gloss matte surface where the veining breaks up the shape and softens the look of layer lines, so sanding and painting become optional. Sand or paint a part and the base tone stays uniform underneath, because the appearance runs through the compound and not on the surface. Available in 2 colours.

Diameter 1.75 mm, 1 kg net filament per spool, approx. 335 m on a round spool. Nozzle temperature, with the setting confirmed for your application. The veining pattern is created during extrusion, so it varies from spool to spool and part to part

the base tone stays consistent and the matte finish is repeatable run to run.

No heated bed is required, though 35-60 °C gives the best first-layer grip on large flat ornamental bases. A fresh spool needs no drying step, and standard PLA settings apply - no wear-resistant nozzle is needed, because the effect comes from the pigmented PLA+ compound. Close the bag between jobs.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this real stone, and what is the material exactly?
It is a PLA+ filament compound: a polylactic acid base with colour pigmentation and a matte additive system that produces a veined, stone-like surface appearance. It is a plastic filament and contains no natural stone or mineral aggregate, and we do not describe it as a stone material. The practical benefits of the PLA+ base are better layer adhesion and slightly higher toughness than basic PLA, which suits thin ornamental walls. Nozzle temperature confirmed for your application, bed temperature 35-60 °C.
Which printers can run this filament?
It is 1.75 mm filament on a standard 1 kg round spool, so it fits FDM printers that accept 1.75 mm material and a 1 kg spool, including Bambu Lab X1 and P1 class, Creality Ender class, Prusa, Anycubic and Elegoo. Standard PLA hardware is enough: a normal brass nozzle, a standard extruder and a heated bed at 35-60 °C. A 0.4 mm nozzle is the natural choice, and a 0.6 mm nozzle suits large decor pieces because the marble texture hides the thicker layer lines.
What print settings give the best marble look?
Nozzle temperature confirmed for your application, bed temperature 35-60 °C. A 0.2 mm to 0.3 mm layer height suits ornamental work and keeps the matte texture reading as intended. Slightly lower part cooling helps the surface stay matte, while heavy cooling can make it look glossier than the sample. Because the veining is generated during extrusion, how the texture appears depends on layer height, extrusion and part orientation, so run a small test piece before a full decor batch.
What do I get on one spool?
1 kg net filament per spool, which is approx. 335 m of 1.75 mm filament. In decorative terms that is a long run: for example a set of several mid-size vases, or a group of figurines and planters, depending on wall count and infill. Ornamental parts are usually hollow, so wall thickness rather than infill is the main cost driver. The figure to cost from is 1 kg net filament per spool.
Which marble colours are available, and is the pattern the same on every spool?
Two colours: Marble Black and Marble Brown, with Marble Black as the lead colour. The veining pattern varies from spool to spool and from print to print, and that variation is inherent to how the marble effect is created. The base tone and the matte finish stay consistent between batches. For a matched set of identical parts, print the whole set from one spool so the veining stays visually related; mixed colour cartons are available on request.
What are the best applications for marble PLA+?
Decorative and home-use parts where the surface sells the object: vases, planters and pots, figurine and statue busts, picture frames, lamp bases, decorative trays, jewellery display stands, model buildings and architectural mock-ups, seasonal ornaments and gift items. It suits retail displays and interior decor straight off the plate with no painting. It is not intended for load-bearing brackets or parts exposed to sustained heat or repeated impact; PETG or ABS serve those duties.
How is the spool packed, and how should I store it?
Each spool ships vacuum sealed in a foil bag with a desiccant pack inside a printed carton, so it arrives dry and ready to print. After opening, keep the spool in the resealable bag or a dry box between jobs; PLA absorbs atmospheric moisture over time, and a wet spool can print with a rougher surface and popping at the nozzle. Store flat, out of direct sunlight and away from heat. If a spool has been open in humid air for a long period, dry it a few hours at 50-60 °C before use.
