How does the pink and gold two-tone finish work, and is the gold a real metal?
Two coloured PLA streams, one rose pink and one bright gold, are co-extruded into a single 1.75 mm strand, so one nozzle and one spool lay down both tones at once and the visible mix shifts as the print rises. The gold is created by a high-gloss additive compounded into the PLA, not by a metal coating and not by metal filler: the strand stays ordinary PLA plastic, stays light, does not corrode and prints on any standard FDM machine at 200-225 C. Treat the parts as premium decorative pieces rather than structural parts.
