What makes dual-colour silk PLA different from ordinary silk PLA?
Ordinary silk PLA holds one pigment in the strand, so the whole part comes out one tone. Here two pigments are co-extruded into the same 1.75 mm strand, so the two tones alternate across the surface as the part is built - on one nozzle, with no filament change. Silk compounds are selected for reflection rather than mechanical strength, so treat this as a display finish: it reads best on flat or gently curved faces that catch light, and it is not the grade for load-bearing brackets.
