How does this strand produce two colours, and is the shine a metal coating?
Gold and green PLA are co-extruded side by side into one 1.75 mm strand, so both colours leave the nozzle together and the visible mix changes as the print rises; the ratio depends on the feed, which is why we recommend a test cube first. The shine is a high-gloss additive inside the PLA, not a metal coating and not real metal, so it cannot peel off or corrode, and the part is ordinary plastic that prints on a standard machine. Mechanically it behaves like PLA, so treat it as decorative rather than structural.
